Grandmaster Huazhan Li (Peter Lee) started his martial arts training nearly 50 years ago in Ving Tsun Kung Fu. In his early years he also trained in Judo and Tai Chi.

Sifu Li is well known among the Ving Tsun Kung Fu community in Guangzhou China for his lifetime of martial arts experience. In 2008 he opened Ving Tsun Instinct school to pass on his knowledge of Ving Tsun, a style who’s roots draw from the ancient Red Boat Lineage. Sifu Li is the International director for Ving Tsun Instinct Association.

Sifu Li’s Ving Tsun lineage has been in his family for three generations, having trained under his father, his uncle and Sifu Qing Chen. In China, Sifu Li is teaching at two different schools in Guangzhou, China. 

Sifu Li’s student – Sifu Peterson, who is the US Director of Ving Tsun Instinct International – is currently teaching in Rapid City, South Dakota. In May 2024, Sifu Li visited South Dakota and was able to meet & train students in Box Elder, Rapid City and the Greater Black Hills area. Sifu Li has also been recognized for his commitment to teaching and sharing his Kung Fu to students in the United States by Mayors, US Congressman and a US Senator.
